When photographing, rarely do I set things up before shooting. To me pictures that look natural, or not staged, look the best and that is what I attempted to do. In this collection, I focused on people eating different types of food in different public places. The food varies from clams to ice-cream, but all of the shots were taking in the Boston area including Faneuil hall, china town and the Boston farmers market. The pictures are interesting to me because this theme is not something that is usually photographed.
I approached this by first figuring out where it would be common to find people eating, once I determined the general area I would be photographing in I sat and waited for people who were eating to either walk by or sit down somewhere nearby. At first I was thrown off by having to sneak around in order to not get caught and potentially ruin the image, but surprisingly not many people caught on that they were being photographed.
